Junior Achievement is Northeastern New York's largest organization dedicated to educating students about issues relating to work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through the use of experiential, hands-on programs. In partnership with the business and education communities, and through the support of community volunteers, JA brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential.
Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York, Inc. is one of 118 licensed areas of Junior Achievement USA. Our purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in our global economy. Presently we pursue our mission through the delivery of sequential programming for youth at all levels from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Through the use of age-appropriate curricula, JA programs begin at the elementary school level, teaching children how they can impact the world around them as individuals, workers, and consumers. JA programs continue through the middle and high school grades, introducing students to additional key economic and workforce issues they will face in the future.
